Dick, when I last rebuilt my MPJG engine (3 years ago) I could not get the new felt oil seal to fit, so threw it away and re-fitted the old one from the waste bin. I later had a few aluminium housings made to accomodate a lip seal (viton 62 x 45 x 10). They have been fitted to a number of MPJG engines so far and work very well, no leaks and very little friction drag. If you want one, the cost is 25 UK pounds plus postage for the new housing and seal. I have about 4 left from the batch of 12 that I had made. Most TA gaskets can be purchased from Moss individually, or make your own, it's not difficult.
