TC Speedometer Cable - Oil Leak

Does anyone on the list know if there is suppose to be seal of some sort on the transmission end of the speedometer cable? Seems I have a slight leak coming from the cable. Also when replacing the kingpin bushings, I would think the bushings need to be line-bored in the steering knuckles. Anybody have any info on this?
