Regulator problems

Thanks everyone for the help with my regulator problem. I am a DIY person so I think I will try putting the guts from an MGB regulator in my TC. How hard can it be? Rolland, I looked at my MGB regulator and the overall architecture of the regulator is completely different. I also am a "do it yourself" type and like to fix things myself if I can. I repaired a TC regulator by finding an old "spade" type Lucas regulator with the same mechanical internal construction and used the parts to repair the TC regulator. This is the same idea suggested in "TC's Forever" and is a simpler way to go. In the few regulators I have worked on, I found the soldered contacts were often the source of the problem...check these before you do anything else and perhaps the problem lies in this point. Age and vibration can break these loose over time. My best, Ben Cordsen
