I just sent a lot of questions, so I thought I should send some answers:
I just got thru rebuilding my windshield on TC 7387. Started out as a
simple replace the leaking rubber seal between the windshield and the
frame -- You know how that goes. Ended up rechroming the windshield
frame and buying a new windshield and all the necessary screws. The
actual job was a whole lot easir than I expected.
I have a couple of tip I discovered:
1. Silicone grease on the rubber helps everything go together. Works
better than dish soap - and helps keep everything waterproof. Its what
is used on the O rings on my Nikonos underwater camera.
2. I wasn't impressed with any of the windshield wiper wiring I've
seen, so I used regular 16 ga wire. To cover the run from the
windshield frame to the cowl, I covered the 2 wires with a braided shoe
lace! Took a while to feed them thru the shoe lace, but it looks
good.
Bruce Collins:
Thanks for the tracing of your windshield. Everything worked out great.

I like the braided shoe lace idea. Good one Bruce.
