Does anybody on the North coast have a starting crank handle available?
Some one has apparently adopted my spare and with 5 vehicles which can be started the old fashioned way. . .the Bent one remaining is suspect. I know Moss has them but come on $60 for a piece of iron with a cross bolt? and then the shipping and handling.

In a moment of idleness I once decided to make an exact
copy of a starting handle using a real one as a pattern -
Never got finished and $60 sounds cheap in retrospect!

I have just acquired a crank handle for my 1948 MG TC.
Can anyone tell me where it should be mounted or stored in the car ?
Thanks

Don,
Behind the seat on the wood panel there. You will need three clips which
are available from most suppliers.

Don,
John is right. But if you want maximum leg room for a six footer, leave the
crank and the clips at home. The seat can be moved back further if the crank
clips are not installed.

I have two cranks - one is 19" and the other is 22"
Anyone know which is correct length for my '48 TC ?

Dear Jim:
To add to your confusion Jim, my 1948 TC has a 24 inch crank
and works properly. It also fits the 1937 MG VA Tickford DHC.

Jim,
I couldn't resist this one -- the longer the better!
