Petrol Tank Side Panel Plate

My right plate has suffered from a bad infection of metal worm to the point that it can't be restored. The left one is perfect. How can there be such a difference between two parts serving the same function only 2-3 feet apart? Anyway I need a new right plate. I know they are available from Moss etc. but you have to buy them in sets and unless there is a good reason to replace them as a set I only need the right side. If some one happens to have a right plate they would part with would you contact me off list. Terry (in Vancouver)
