To all, Would anyone have the heater instructions for the Arnolt accessory heater in the t-series cars and would be willing to copy and mail to me? Better yet, scan and e-mail? It would help me in setting up the heater for a fall trip I am planning, and hope to have some cabin heat! Thanks in advance, Ben TC 4260

Ben I had an Arnolt heater in my TD and I drove the car in the winter in the fifties, I took it out some time ago, do not think I would ever put it back in. It would only put out at something less then 30 miles an hour, above that you could not tell it was working, it also did well at stop sign and railroad crossing. That was it! actually the gear shift lever was warmer. -----Original Message----- From: sculptart@aol.com [mailto:sculptart@aol.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 01, 2002 9:58 AM To: mg-tabc@yahoogroups.com Subject: [mg-tabc] heater instructions To all, Would anyone have the heater instructions for the Arnolt accessory heater in the t-series cars and would be willing to copy and mail to me? THAT SHOULDN'T BE TOO HARD; AFTER ALL, I PUT A 1934 BUICK HEATER IN MY 1949 MGTC IN 1952. And it worked for the midwest trips. BOB Takes a water to and from the radiator. sculptart@aol.com wrote:

I will look thru my files to see if I still have the Arnolt heater instructions, however I removed the heater from TC 7025 since it, at best, warmed my left calf only. It is in a box for safe keeping. John Patterson TC 7025 REMEMBER: Duct tape is like the "FORCE", a light side, a dark side and holds the "Universe" together.

The thermostat was working, and I had 3/4 of the radiator block off besides, at 50 or 60 the air exchange is so great that it feel like nothing. The heater was put in by a MG/Arnold dealer. Digitaldon's 1949 TC still has the 1946 Packard limousine rear seat heater from one of his late father-in-law's cab company junked vehicles. It's 6 volts & has two cores; (one on each rear seat side). This was a natural for each side of the TC cockpit, with each unit simply series connected thru the 3 speed switch, rather than the original parallel connection from the 6 volt Packard. This made motoring in the nastiest Buffalo New York (USA) legendary winter weather almost comfortable. Don TC 7993
