Welcome to the ranks of T Type USERS Lee. I know what you mean about running out of excuses not to..... I Always procrastinate forever if I can find an excuse not to prove whether I have done a proper job or not. Eventually it has to be done...but oh that moment when you go for it. G'day Ian, Thru you, may I also pass on congratulations to Lee (Who's address is lost to me at the moment) on the CPR of another TA engine. Too easy it has been for those of lesser heart to sidestep the much-maligned MPJG and substitute something else. For those who have also perservered with this 'difficult' lump of cast iron, and to have heard it speak again... may I offer from the antipodes a raised glass of 'Hunter Red' as a salute... Hi JR, Alas, it was not another MPJG engine coming to life, although I wish I could find one. Instead, it is a TC engine replacement, done as far as I can tell, by the factory in 45 or 46 as it is a very early engine. However, it is back to life, and will do until a more correct powerplant can be found. Actually, this one is part of the TA's history, so it may be correct as is. I did have another TA with a correct engine, but did not want to break up the car to put that engine in TA2969 Tickford. The best part was the renewed belief from the wife that I could indeed finish something that worked!! Cheers, Lee Jacobsen, Dearborn, MI.
