Hi All, Regarding having my cylinder head modified to run on unleaded I could not say if there had been any valve seat recession as I have not done that many miles in the car. I had it done as I have a spare head modified to Stage 1A to make use of higher octane petrol now available. Nice to talk MG,s again innit! Regards, Ron Benson (Headless TB) Sounds reasonable. You would get a better hydrostatic wave in the bearing area, and from the oil blowing around the rocker box, still get tip lubrication. I think I would make it reversible, though.....just in case! BTW, were you getting that much seat erosion with the normal valve seats? I have been running a 1275 Spridget engine in my wife's Morris Minor with a stock head about 8-10000 miles a year with no measurable problems so far. Have any of you had bad experiences with the stock heads? Best, Ray
