Good-day all :
I also have had strange messages and thanks to those early warnings I did
not open any . The ones # 3 and # 4 listed by Mr. Hara were two that I
received today
as well !
Thanks again to the ever vigilant members of the " Group " , that have
brought these menaces to light !
I should now like to make an enquiry .
On Page # 77 of the Moss Catalogue # MGT 0204 , listed as item # 7 , Part #
190-295 , Release Bearing , Roller Bearing Type. I would like to know ,
from the membership , as to what , if any , the advantages are of employing
this part rather than the conventional one , Part # 190-290 ? My mechanical
skills are passable , but my engineering savy is sadly lacking .
Cheers to all ; respectfully : Jack Emdall , TC # 6768

FWIW. Although my inbuilt conventional wisdom tends to feel that a roller release bearing would be better than the carbon one (less friction and does not break up) experience on other sites (esp the V8 site which I frequent) says otherwise. Apparently the roller bearing wears badly and thus becomes noisy, whereas the carbon bearing has to break up completely before it does this.
