This will avoid customs duty. Most Canadians live not too far north of the US border. When we can, we get the parts shipped UPS to friends who live in the US, and drive down and pick them up. This annoyed me as antique auto parts are not subject to Customs & Excise Duties into Canada , but they ( UPS ) appeared to be charging something similar , under the guise of the aforementioned title .
