MG TB adventure

Post by John G. Bulcken IV » Wed Mar 13, 2002 3:22 pm

Ladies and gents,
Away on business lately...stopped in at Ray McCrary's and we took his TB out on the interstate on a very cold day for a long trip to go look at another pre war MG. Do not want to debate about the BC box or tank battle at present as that has continued at the MG Enthusiasts site and rages on several continents. Ray was kind enough to let me DRIVE his car and I really enjoyed that as my poor TB has been apart for far too long because of lack of time and funds...very glad to be making progress now. Will post some pics. ASAP. Ray also mentioned the ancient symbols which I showed him on my 1939 XPAG con rods in his recent post. These were cast there for (much needed) good luck pre war and this was dropped after the war. There is more info. about this at the archives of the MG Enthusiasts site as we had a chat about that some time ago. I am always willing to talk TB any time...off list if needs be but I always thought sharing info. was what this list was about and what most want and perhaps at times need. I for one have learned alot here. Ray asked me to critique his great car...I did and I think we are still friends.
CHEERS all,
John

PS Thank you Walter and Jim !
