Does any one have any experience, recommendations on how to improve the night time visibility (lighting) of the TC instruments.

Dr. Cederstrand has written extensively on this subject. If he doesn't object, perhaps one of the Vintage Club members would post his article to the files section of yahoogroups.com or the web site. Terry

Read somewhere that, for an MGB, painting the reverse side of the dial face and inside of rear cover white creates a reflective surface that enhancves the forward projection of the light. Am not an instrument technician, not have I done so, but an idea worth passing on perhaps?

I haven't tried it yet, but I suspect that putting the under dash cover back on could help deflect some of the little light rays to bounce back thru the instruments instead of down in the foot wells. I don't know if it would be enough to make a difference though. A lot of light does shine down in the footwells so some sort of reflecters on the bulbs to direct the light thru the instruments would help. Its something I have thought about before, but not enough to try and dream up something to see if it would work. Regards, Charles Hill
