Just how long is it?

Post by Martin Johnson » Wed Mar 06, 2002 4:14 am

Hi Kids Now that I'm all moved in (well, mostly moved in) to the new house, I can go get my project TC3586. Of course, I have to trailer it. The good news is that it's only about five or six miles from my house. My question is: What is the dimension from the license plate back to the centerline of the rear wheels? You guessed it- I'm concerned about the trailer being long enough. Thanks! Martin Johnson

Martin, Not sure that it will help but the wheelbase is 7'10" (238cm) and the track is 3'9" (114cm). I had mine stored in a room slightly over 11'9" long for several years so any trailer at least that long will work. Gene

I recently trailered my TC on a couple of trips. Length was not a problem but you need to watch Width. Some trailers do not have a full floor pan. Instead two separate "runners" one on each side. With the narrow track of the TC wheels I found that I was only on by about 1/2 an inch. Charles
