British Car Day in MD (fwd)

Post by Chip Old » Wed Feb 27, 2002 7:28 pm

The message below, forwarded from the mg-t@autox.team.net mailing list may be of interest to some of you. The Chesapeake Chapter's British Car Day has been held annually since the late 1970s. Typically it draws 600 - 800 British cars on display (the maximum allowed by the old venue) from all over the eastern US, a very large flea market, and a large area of cars for sale. It's an incredible show. Mark your calendars, and drop John Tokar an e-mail for more info. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 28 Feb 2002 07:17:13 +0430 From: Scott Allen scottinarl@hotmail.com> To: mg-t@autox.team.net Subject: British Car Day in MD Seem to remember some out of area listers made this event last year, and had some questions about its future, so I thought I'd pass this on: The Chesapeake Chapter of the New England MGT Register announces that The Original British Car Day (BCD) will move to a new date: June 16, 2002, and a new location: Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This event will be open to up to 1000 cars and held in an attractive country setting. Quality barbeque food and drinks will be available for sale at reasonable prices, and family activities will also be provided. For more information contact BCD Chairman, John Tokar by telephone at 301-831-5300, or by email, tokarj@erols.com.
