Need some help! Have the windscreen and associated wiper assembly completely apart for restoration. I need to know how the wiper arms are attached to the connecting bar...the original owner put a cotter pin through the hole in the connecting bar and then through the wiper arm, this makes for a sloppy fit..anyone can tell from just looking at the wiper arms that there must be a proper way to attach the wiper arms! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ron Sounds like he got it right, it is a cotter pin. They were (I believe) chrome plated, better to use polished stainless steel cotter pins. You can go to a boat place and pick them up. Do not worry if they do not work, even when perfect, they do a terrible job, use rain X , the only way to go. Cheers Dean Illinois -----Original Message-----
