I am in the middle of a engine rebuild and could use some advice. Has anyone had experence with piston modification, as shown on the special files about notched pistons? Also , there was alot of "talk" about the rear main seal and several options as to how to address the problem. One solution I found interesting was from Ermit Starnes, Washington,U.S.A. His solution "can be installed without modifications". Does anyone out there have one of these. How does it work? And how can I get in touch with Ermit Starnes? Ron Oldfield TC 8343, New York.

Hello Ron, I rebuilt my engine last winter and I used a combination of the John Seim and the Blair Engle methods. No major modification and NO rear main leaks yet. I have 1000 miles on the re-build. Contact John and Blair and get the info direct from them. John- kingseim@earthlink.net Blair- engle@martech.fsu.edu At 06:04 PM 02/10/2002 -0500, you wrote:
