Short story: A few years ago in Canberra, the artificial city created as the 'Capitol' o this fair land ( and thus was ruined perfectly good grazing land) the Annual MG National Meeting was held. The host centre dazzled the visitors by acquireing many stately venues for backdrops over the 5-day MG-fest. 'Registration' was held in a very swank building , complete with polished tiles under the grand entrance. Parking quickly became a problem, however a mate in his J2 short-circuited this difficulty by wheeling in under the Grand Vestibule and onto The Sacred Tiles. A few minutes later the 'Jobs-Worth' started jumping up and down, pointing to the spreading oil beneath the tiny MG's engine. He was trying to sop-up the mess with his hanky when my friend returned. When faced with castigation, castration, condemnation, the MG owner dismissed the fracas with a sweep of the hand, claiming the Midget was ... "merely leaving its mark!"
