Mouses?

Post by Sally Carroll » Mon Jan 28, 2002 2:06 pm

I have talked to a pest control expert just now and he reccommends spearmint oil on cotton balls for the repelling of Mice from our cars. My children will be glad to hear about that change. . . they have trouble with the mothballs, I was using. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.311 / Virus Database: 172 - Release Date: 12/28/2001

If one adds spearmint oiled cotten balls to their TC, does that preclude it from being 100% original then? But then if there were mice living in the TC it wouldn't be 100% original either. Can't win I guess. I hear that Datsun steering boxes keep elephants out of your TC. One of our club members put in one of those boxes and hasn't been bothered by elephants at all. I had a wonderfully eccentric friend with a barn full of old cars. To protect them against mice, he acquired these battery operated wall clocks which had a picture of a different songbird at each number, one through twelve. At every hour, the clocks would produce the sound of the bird pictured for that particular hour. My friend had one clock located inside of each car and several hanging on the barn walls - all set to different random times. Entering this barn was always a wonderful and charming experience because one would be surrounded by these random bird sounds emanating from all around the barn in no particular order. I remember commenting that not only did the system protect the cars against rodent damage but I'm sure it would also have a profound affect on any intruder, vandal, or burglar who may have been so unfortunate as to enter the premises in the dark of night. Of course, it did tend to keep my friend busy replacing the batteries. Badger
