Shorrock lubrication

I have installed my Shorrock on the TC and the instructions say to check to
make sure that oil is getting to the unit through the oiler. Mine has the
external brass one mounted on the rear of the supercharger. I removed the
oiler with the feed line still attached and started the car to see if fluid
came through the hole in the back of the oiler. I developed pressure on the
guage but nothing came out of the hole. I removed the feed line from the
oiler and tried again. Plenty of oil there! I'm wondering (my question) is
what is the normal opening pressure for this peice. Is there supposed to be
a constant dribble or an occasional spurt at a certain pressure? I've had
it apart several times and it's clean and burr free. Any member response
will be appreciated.

Don,
I don't have any info for the lubricator pin spring rate, but it must be
less than the oil pressure expected at the valve gear. Oil ought to be
feeding constantly into the blower. Presumably, your oil pressure gauge
reading is good. Have you dismantled the lubricator assembly and checked
that its clean. Also, what size is the lubricator pin - an oversize was
available to stop plug oiling problems.
Regards,
Mark
