Attempt to Shorten Messages

I know this has been suggested in the past..and I think is a good time to suggest this again... I am finding that so many of the messages Listers are sending out recently to be unnecessarily long. When comments are being sent out many Listers are simply adding their comments to what is quite often a very long and drawn out thread of information. Members are often simply adding a couple lines of new information/comments to pages and pages of previous emails on a specific topic. I am finding that it is taking longer and longer just to scroll down through all of this previously sent messages.
As the vast majority of us go through our messages daily (or so) I suggest that when somone wants to comment on a previous e-mail that they edit 95 percent of the previous e-mails out - keep only what is absolutely necessary to let listers know what previous e-mail is being commented on. It means taking a few extra seconds to do a little erasing but it makes going through these messages easier and much quicker. With over 400 people on this list now there are more and more messages being sent every day.

Works for me......... frankly there is WAY too much stuff on here that is totally irrelevant to TABC and there may well be a few others like me who are close to signing off...... The odd joke is fine, but the amount of time wasted on stupid stuff like where to put one's ashes on a TC is a little too much even me sitting under my "Outback Rock"........ Cheers - Murray
