pinion brg, TC axle

Years ago, I replaced the R&M 3MDJT25 bronze cage bearing with SKF 3305, double row angular contact bearing, speed rating 10,000 rpm, basic dynamic load rating 6570 lb. I haven't run the car yet, and I wonder if any of you have any knowledge (or opinion) whether this bearing is suitable for the job. I'd rather do the taper roller bearing conversion rather than risk bearing failure and wrecked gears. David Cameron Metcalfe, Ontario, Canada

I think the SKF3305 bearings is OK assuming the rear roller beasring is also good. Tapered rollers are better. Both will do the job.
