Well, if all goes well TC 9028's motor will be running this weekend ..for the first time in well over 25 years... So Mark Evenchick..Vic Armstrong..9:00 O'clock Sunday...thanks.
My knowledge of grease (besides The Movie) is very limited..I went out tonight to buy some for basic lubrication of the TC - chassis..U-joints..steering linkages..Our big chain store in Canada, Canadian Tire, sells various types of grease, from lowest price to highest: wheel bearing and chassis lubricant, general purpose grease, moly. high pressure grease, synthetic high pressure grease. Finally, there are smaller tubes of white lithium grease. Any advice as to what would be best for the TC would be much appreciated.

Hello Rob, Good luck with the 'start up' this weekend. I have used a Lithium based grease ( e.g. Castrol LM grease) for general chassis lubrication. This seems to be generally accepted as good practice. A 'heavy' grease (e.g. Castrol Heavy) is sometimes recommended for rear wheel bearings, particularly where there is oil seepage from the rear axle. Best wishes, Malcolm TA1250

Is there a preferred grease to use for greasing the chassis /
suspension fittings on a TC? Or just the same old waxy junk I always use?

Hi all - No this is not about the musical. My question has to do with
lubrication of the generator oiler. Should one use dielectric grease on the
felt piece end rather than lithium etc. grease.

You do not use grease on that but OIL. The busing is a cintered bronze bush which means it is porous and the oil on the felt wicks it way through the pores of the bush and lubricates the armature shaft, grease does not do that
Motor oil is fine
