Dear all, Just a quick email to announce that my TC6132 made its debut Saturday after undergoing 18 months of weekend work addressing most mechanical and electrical items. I shall not spare the blushes of Mike Card, without whose help, guidance and advice, the project would not have been possible. Thanks Mike. Mike visited my house Saturday to give the car one final pre-battery checkout, before we connected a freshly charged battery and performed lighting and ignition checks. I had previously primed the oil pump (using Bob Grunau's oil filter adapter). Plugs out, and cranked for a few seconds before the pressure needle showed a healthy 30+ psi. Plugs in, some carb setup, a quick crank and she fired straight up. Oil pressure straight towards 60. Some more adjustments and a reliable idle resulted. Off the axle stands onto new tyres (and new front stub axles from Bob Grunau, and rear half shaft from Roger Furneaux). Unencumbered by licence plates, road tax, MOT or insurance, off we sped! Around the block and back for a 1 mile circuit to check steering (new oversized sector shaft and bomb-proof drop arm), brakes with Dot-5, rear indicator lights from Steve Taylor (very bright Steve!). So, just a few more bits to finish before I make it legal and get all the paperwork organised. After the test drive, we had arranged a lunchtime gathering, which included Viv and Vi James, at a nearby pub in Brockham. A splendidly successful day spent with friends. From my land of ash sawdust, I am jealous as hell! But congratulations and I hope to follow you, albeit without fenders, next summer. What a thrill to fire it up, I'll bet...and go to a pub afterwards? Oh, man...A Speckled Hen thats not six months old.... Regards from Ohio, Mark TC81236
