Polyurethane
T-Fellows
Does anyone know of a company or person that will make Polyurethane bushings to order? I think someone is already offering these for the TC, but I need some for a prewar MG.

Re: Polyurethane
Joe,
You may want to try a company called Americo Corp. Phone # is 313-565-6550.
Ask for John. They do castings and moldings in polyurethane on a prototype
basis for the automotive industry and should be able to make what you need.
Suggest that you send a TC example piece so they can duplicate the durometer,
color, etc. You supply the dimensions. They are just down the street and
have been around for years. If needed, I will keep an eye on the project for
you if you feel comfortable in letting them do it. Might be costly making
from molds. Perhaps another way is to purchase a slab of urethane of the
correct durometer and thickness and simply turn them out on a lathe. My
lathe guy (Burt) charges $5 per hour and is a retired aircraft machinist with
a shop garage. He did most of the turned parts on my Tickford, including the
pram iron nuts, bezels, special screws, reverse threads, etc. Fax a sketch of
the parts and how many you want to 734-591-6111 and I will get a cost on the
urethane (I have a TC set from Moss for comparison) and an estimate from Burt
to lathe turn them. Figure on 1-2 weeks turnaround. Hope this helps.

Hi Joe,
Gave you the phone # instead of the fax # which is 734-591-6126. Did the
WA have the same side lights as the SA? I think I have an extra one (side
light) which appears the same as a TC only larger.
Cheers, Lee
