TC EXU'S second fuse box

The YT EXU preceded the TC EXU by about six months. The unique items of the TC EXU wiring and electrical parts were taken right off the YT EXU along with the bumpers and overriders. Since the need for the second fuse box was already there and known I would think it highly unlikely that any TC EXU'S were produced without it. The fuse box for the YT was Lucas Model SF5/2 with two 50 amp fuses. Unfortunately the Service Parts List for the TC EXU omits the model designation but all other model numbers relating to electrical parts are the same as the YT. The early YT and TC EXU Windtone Horns are WT614'S with a circular "trumpet". My YT EXU 4217, produced in late November 1949 just as TD production was beginning, has the triangular shaped trumpet as was used on the TD and I am as certain as I can be that they are original as I bought the car in 1956 and the first owner who I know has told me that he made no modifications to the car. So it is possible that some of the last TC EXU'S could also have the "TD" type horn. Terry (TC 8202)

Hello Fellows I have EXU 8170 in my shop (doug Lovett) it has TD horns and factory rear signals with correct relay boxes, I do not see an extra fuse box. Joe Curto
