This question is directed at all you Aussie box converts.You are asked to put .24 liter of SP90 oil into the box. It seems that SP90 oil isn't common in my neck of the woods. Is there a modern equivalent ? What did you put in your steering boxes ? Any suggestions ? Greg TC8008

Dear Greg; You should be hearing from one of our MG Guru. I tried Carl Fritz simple formula with good results. " Twas a 50/50mixture of Grease and STP whipped together and injected into the Bishop Box' s nipple. Yoiu can also try "The Gaslight" or many other Model A Ford houses, they also use the HEAVY stuff, and easily found, seeing as tho there are so many Fords about... Regards, Mark TC8126

Another source for "heavy oil" are construction machine distributors. Large dirt machines use anywhere from 90 to 150 SAE oil in various components. Some of the oil is the old non-detergent type originally specified for T series engines and drive trains. WWC TC 6749
