Sept 11 Bombings - what can you do?

Post by twilson@motionwear.net » Wed Sep 12, 2001 9:30 am

We all feel sorrow, anger, fear, and countless other emotions about these acts. Ask yourself - do I feel strong enough about this to do something about it, or am I just going to voice my opinions and wait for others to do something?
There are thousands of people who need help - individuals, organizations providing support, New York City itself. Imagine the immense cost just of the cleanup and recovery.
Get involved! You can send a check to the American Red Cross, to the mayor of New York, to any organization supporting the process of help, rebuild, and recovery. If you're young, enlist in the armed forces and serve your country.
It's difficult to find a way to directly support people in need when you are so far away. Our company has chosen to work extra hours and donate the wages and profits earned from those hours to people needing help in New York. It's a way the staff can help directly.
We can't wait for others to help and solve the problem. Find a way to contribute and get involved - now!
