TA Engine and Gearbox Mountings

Hi All, I am early on in the long-term restoration of my TA (there isn't enough of it to call it a basket case!). It has a late VA-type engine, unfortunately incomplete. I recently acquired a Wolseley 12 gearbox, which is the same pattern as VA (also same pattern internals as TB/C). This 'box has a flat steel rear bearer plate similar in appearance to a TA bearer plate. I have compared the Wolseley 12 bearer plate to a TC cast alu item, and the bolt holes for the rubber mounting blocks are angled differently. I understand that, when fitting an XPAG engine & 'box to a TA, all you need to do is reverse the rubber mounting blocks (hence my use of a TC bearer plate for comparison purposes). Can anyone confirm this? If its true, all I need to do is make a new bearer plate for the Wolseley 12 'box, using the TC plate as a pattern. If not, I've got yet more problems!!! Also, the engine mounting feet on the front bearer plate have been cut off. Should this be a standard TA item? Is there anyone out there with a VA-engined TA who can give me some advice? And I don't mean give up and go to the Pub, although that's not a bad idea...... Regards, Mark TC1459, (and some of) TA1392
