Doug For what it's worth, my maplight bases were gloss black at the back, where they were protected from the weather. Therefore the fronts of the bases would also have been gloss. I think, on that basis, that the centre panel would have been a matching gloss. However, looking at early photographs I haven't been able to draw any firm conclusions. Perhaps like a lot of things on the TC, they came in both finishes, depending on paint availability. Are there any listers who actually remember seeing the panels before they were weathered and who could enlighten us? Mark Jablonski Melbourne Australia> black? Would it be semi-gloss?
It wasn't a factory option, but was popular as an aftermarket accessory. Aside from the OP (who really need to find better things to do), who cares? All that matters is whether you like it. -- Chip Old 1948 M.G. TC Cub Hill, Maryland, US TC6710 XPAG7430 fold@bcpl.net NEMGTR #2271> When I aquired TC 8970 it had a beautiful "engine turned" dash.
