I too am getting ready to attach the "L" brackets to the rear wheel arches. Coincidently, I met Mike Collingburn at MG 2001 in St. Paul last month and asked him about their positioning before I installed his interior kit. When he returned home he faxed me a paper with some measurements he has taken about their positioning. According to his diagram the rear of the "L" bracket is 13" from the rear (top back rail). The bracket is then placed so that the inward side of the bracket is 4" from the inside of the top side rail. This same inward side of the bracket should then be 2" from the inside vertical edge of the wheel arch. If you placed the two brackets on the wheel arches as described, his diagram shows that the distance between the two brackets would be 36 3/4". I hope I explained that OK..
As an aside..he also shows the position of the seat slides. Two measurements here. The first is the distance from inside of each seat slide to the inside edge of the floorboard - 2". The last measurement is from the front of the seat slide to the front of the floorboard - 20 1/4".
If anyone is interested I can fax a copy of this out..
Rob Greaves. - Viv and Dave ..Thanks for the advice on the spoke wheel. I took it apart tonight and was able to rotate the inner hub so that the spokes are now the same as the others.

Hi Roger,
I am progressing with the restoration our TC EXU and I am at the stage when I need to rivet the ' L' shaped seat brackets on to the top of the rear inner wheel arch.... if a TC could you please take a couple of measurements for me so that I can position the backrest support brackets. Although I have made new floorboards, I have yet to position the seat runners ...
