HRG Head wanted (once again)

Post by RonMGTC@aol.com » Tue Jul 24, 2001 1:33 pm

Gentlemen: A few months ago I posted a request to purchase a HRG head and manifolds. There were numerous responses but no transaction ever took place. Not that I haven't tried. So.... I WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE A HRG HEAD AND MANIFOLDS for an MGA. If you have one AND have a price that you would like to get, please contract me. If you don't have a price, then don't contact me until you do. You know what you have in it, you should know what you would like to get out of it. I am not interested in endless correspondence-if you are, join a lonely hearts club. If you have to check with your partner, then check before contacting me. If you don't know how much it is worth, then find out. I am not interested in making an offer only to have the seller disappear because he feels that he might get $50 more in five years and doesn't want to be ripped off. I don't want to consider any alternatives (B&G, Pierce, modifying my head, etc.). I am not interested in making an offer only to find out that it was sold to a friend that it was promised to last decade. I am not a market maker in old cylinder heads. If you know of a friend of a friend who has one then I would appreciate you putting me in touch with them, if they don't have a computer-that's OK I will call. I don't want to deal with someone in the used cylinder head brokerage business who takes the 500% mark-up for helping his friend. If "he asked me to deal with this" then I am not interested in dealing with him. Selling an item should be very simple, if he is unable to accomplish that then I have to question the description of the item. Put a price on it, I either accept or reject, and then the interaction is done. If you have no intention of relying to my emails, don't answer this one. Sorry for the tone of this, but I just would like to either get on with this project or push it into long term storage and deal with it in 18 months or so. Thanks Ron
