TA Regulator-sub?

Hi all, Need some advice on MG electrics......... TA 2969 Tickford has reached the wiring stage and, upon close examination, the regulator and fuse box are marked RJF50 instead of what's on the wiring diagram. The generator is from a TC, not a TA. Everything else is correct (from Craig at Whitworth shop) . I am tempted to wire it up and see what happens. Anyone have any experience as to what might or might not occur?
