could some one out there give me size and layout of an engine crank. for a
TC orTD as I need (2) one for a TC and one for a TD . Any reason it would
not work,I don't think I would ever use it to start the engine.

Rolland:
Whilst my TC didn't have a hand crank when I got it (and I still don't have
one), I did measure one and made notes that the dimensions on that example
were as follows:
*Diameter was 3/4".
*Long part from engine was 22 1/4".
*Eccentric arm length was 7 //3/4".
*Handle length was 4 1/2". The handle has a rotating sleeve on it.
*Forgot to measure the pin diameter and its length but it shouldn't be too
hard to determine that on your cars directly.
Attached is a picture I found in my files of a hand crank for a TC.

FWIW, MOSS and Abingdon still sell cranks. MOSS wants about $60.00.
BTW, I think TD and EXU cranks are due having to clear the bumpers.

Here's a drawing I made this evening from a '46 and a '49 crank. I used fractional rather than decimal dimension, because there's nothing very critical about it, but these will be within about .010" anyway. The (turntable) handle can probably be made from a piece of electrical conduit or some such. Keep your thumb off the anvil! Best regards, Austin
