xpag engine oil leaks. How much is too much

Since having my engine completely rebuilt I have been running it once or
twice a month but not yet driving the car and putting it under load.
I warm the engine up and run it static for about 15 mins with some time at
1000 rpm , some at 1500 and a little around 2000rpm then back to idle.
At the higher RPM there are no noticeable oil leaks coming for anywhere
on the engine.
After running at the higher rpm and coming back to idle there is a steady
( one every 5-6sec ) drip from the hole at the back of the engine ( the
one with the split pin sticking out ). On revving up the leak stops.
Also after stopping the car the leak stops quite quickly.
I realise that all xpags are meant to leak but this seems a lot and
embarrassing if idling on the driveway of someone that you know!
Short of pulling out the whole engine, does anyone have any experience of
reducing the leak? Will it get better or worse as the car is run in?
