Extractor or Dual Exhaust??

Post by bobgthomas » Sat Apr 21, 2001 11:11 am

Hello everyone I am about to install a Judson supercharger on TC EXU 7388. It has an XPEG engine bored .040 over with a Moss forged crank and an AEG122 cam. Also, the head has been lightly ported and polished. Since I am pushing more air through the engine I figure getting more out is probably a good idea. I have the options of: 1 A Derrington extractor 2 A Exhaust manifold shown in the factory tune-up guide or 3 A Dual exhaust system (Two separate cast manifolds) Also, I had been thinking about hot-jetting the derrington, but I understand this will keep some of the heat in the system. Good for the passengers, but with the supercharger should I be more concerned about getting the thing a chance to cool?? I have a new radiator and water pump, so heat build up has never been a problem so far. As always, thanks for any help or opinions. This list is a terrific resource. Where else could I go with such a question and have people actually understand what I am talking about?? Thanks again Bob San Francisco Bay

Who ya gonna race with that there hot rod TC Bob? Any octogenarian grandma with a clapped out Toyota Corolla will still blow yer doors off without even knowin' you were tryin' t' race her. Sounds to me a case of you've just got more money than you need. Badger (tryin' to be sensible) bobgthomas wrote:
