Accelerator Pedal Assembly

The accelerator pedal assembly that came with my basket case 49 TC must be for another car. The TC roller fits fine, the bronze/brass mounting brackets look right, the mounting hole right under the steering column look to align ok, but immediately to the left of the steering column the pedal assembly dips down about 2 to 3 inches. Because of this dip the pedal assembly won't go through the elongated hole in the firewall. If fact I would have to elongate the hole another 2 to 3 inches to get the pedal assembly to fit and then I don't think it will be positioned correctly under the carbs. Does any one have a TC pedal assembly they are willing to sell, or send along so I can modify the one I have (of course I would return yours) or have a good picture of what a TC pedal assembly looks like (with measurements) Saturday I put the body on the frame and aligned the bonnet. Today I mounted the doors and bolted the body to the frame and installed the steering column. It's starting to look like a real TC! Much of my work on this car has been assisted with tech notes printed from this list - some real good info! Thanks, Mark Stolzenburg Stolzy40@peoplepc.com
