Hi All - I have settled on what looks like an appropriatly WWII surplus grey
for the firewall of TC 0535, but in re-reading WFK Wood last night he speaks
of bonnet panel interiors painted the same grey as firewall regardless of
exterior color. Thoughts?

Hello Tom, I don't see how they could paint inside of the hood (bonnet) one
color and the outside another. This would have taken far too much time on a
procuction car. Masking louvers takes forever, trust me I've masked and
painted G.P.Bugattis. Bob with TC4946

Re: [mg-tabc] Bonnet Panel Interior Color Hi Tom - I too read these words of wisdom (and many others) written by chip for TSO all those years ago, and they explained why my car (TC0978) had the inside of the bonnet grey when I bought it in 1966, and why it is still grey, although the bulkhead had many layers of paint in an effort to make it look smarter. Of course, that grey could have just been primer: since nearly every panel on a TC has to be painted on both sides, there might be a temptation for some folks to cut corners...
