Valves a clatter

TABC I am running my valves at 20 thou. XPAG motor in the TC. I get no appreciable valve noise. Everything is in very good shape and the motor has 5000 miles on it. However, I popped the head this winter before installing a supercharger. I had two questionable valves. There was plenty of meat in the valve face but none of them seated real well originally. Most all had a very thin mating surface. We got a good surface contact face now. Am I missing something here. I am running 20 thou measured hot, I do not get any rattle, compression is very good, and engine runs wonderfully. I can only assume the original valve mating was poor. 20 thou should be good, correct?
