Now, now

Are newbies permitted to voice opinions? If not, forget I did. I am compelled by my sense of fairness to come to Badger's defense. Badger is quite articulate. Therefore, it is inaccurate to call him stupid, as one member has just done. After all, one can be obnoxious without being stupid. Badger is just a pussy cat looking for attention, and he clearly knows how to get it. Cheers, Stan

Badger entertains us all. The only concern is that new people might not understand his unique personality (the 1%) I was puzzled at first also, but it does not take long for new members to catch on.(see below) Badger is not the only one with 'smart/stupid/obnoxious comments. I have posted my share too. I don't think anyone really gets their feelings hurt, they may just wonder what sort of crowd they have fallen into. If we were all facing each other in person, a Cheshire cat grin, a wink or a raised eyebrow would reveal when we were pulling someone leg etc. Not so with e-mail. Thanks to Badger, now I know how to jump my Toyota off from my MG TC. The real trick is to twist the jumper cables, enough to become confused as to which is positive and which is minus on my 1949 jumper cables that have long ago lost their red/black paint. I usually find out, when I touch the cable to the wrong post and sparks fly. Almost as many fly as when I forget to take out the garbage on garbage morning before the truck runs.
