Vielan Dank! to all in my quest-any of our illustrious MG Pilots have an idea where to purchase a TC thermostat? There was none in TC when we took it apart. Will Always remember the MG commandments. #1-Thou shalt never run without a thermostat. #2Thou shalt grease every 500 miles till the devilish dirt is driven out.#3 Thou shalt consider leather Gaiters for leaf springs for good lubricity. This is a start to the 100 Sacred Octagon MG-T Commandments- additions welcomed Can't resist this: does George Chubaty, purveyor of gaiters use "gators"? BTW what are the insights on using Leather Bonnet Straps on the TC? Looks to me rather classic. Tally Ho! Thom

Please please please ..... gaiters went out of fashion in the Vintage era and are totally inappropriate for late 30s and post war cars. They hide broken springs and were a cause for MOT failure in the UK unless removable for checking spring condition in the days when our cars were given a proper test. Bonnet straps are for racers only , where it was a requirement (and for boy racers circa 1950). Cliff

Bonnet straps look neat but the road dust accumulates under them even is line with sheep skin and scratches hell out of your paint....hence for racers and trailer queens only. I found this out the hard way.... Terry
