Hi David - once again it seems as if people have been corresponding "off-list" because some replies are to emails I did not get, in particular the first one that must have started things off!!! The factory records unfortunately are no help whatsoever, which lends strength to the conclusion that they were compiled as cars started down the line, i.e. after the engine was fitted but before the body. As to the TWO airlines, these are confirmed in David Knowles excellent book "MG, The Untold Story", page 37, where he says they were advertised at 295 (against 269 for the Tickford and 222 for the standard car. ocTagonally Roger
