Coach Trimmer

UK MGtabc'ers
Whilst I still have quite a way to go yet in the restoration stakes, I am planning ahead a little so can anybody in the UK recommend a good quality coach trimmer to supply and fit a new hood, half tonneau and recover side screen frames etc. for our TC? I am aware of one but he has an extensive forward work load. I am sure the good ones are always busy but I would be interested in knowing of other craftsmen who take a pride in their work by way of recommendation.

Hi George! Sorry, I m not a U.K. M.G.-Driver, but maybe I have a good hint? The problem with the weather equipment is that you have to see it a a composition. 1. Everything must fit together otherwise you get gap s, foldings outside and during rain --> water inside the car. 2. The hood, sidescreen covers and the tonneau must have the correct shape and stichings. 3. The coach trimmer must find the correct position of the hoodframe bases. Wrong position, and your frame wouldn t click into place!

I fitted the hood by D.I.Y. and know today, that the best solution is to go to the one and best specialist on M.G. s --> Mike Collingburn. It s worth to wait and pay a little more.

Greetings from Germany lozi (TC3762)

Btw: Buy a long tonneau if you want to USE your car.
