I was pleased to read the comment re Malcolm Green's book and the material on the EXU. That is our car, which we still have, and Mr. Green was here a few years ago and took those pictures. I personally, including engine, paint and upholstery, restored that car about 15 years ago so I became intimately familiar with all the differences on the EXU. We had very good success with the car on the Concours circuit in California in the 1980's, but I found I had to provide the judges with an information sheet, explaining the differences between it and a "normal" TC. If one studies the EXU wiring diagram for the turn signal circuit, one finds that upon application of the brakes, the front wing lites also illuminate - a real problem for the judges! Should not be a problem for any judge familiar with typical Lucas electrics. When I slide my seat forward, the horn blows. (my knee hits the oogah horn button under the right dash(fascia). My wipers are always on 'intermittent', but I rarely fold the screen up etc. PTH

1. Seat squab sliders......... The seat slider frames are handed. Can those with the knowledge confirm as to whether the slider frames are positioned with the spring loaded seat adjuster knobs nearest the doors ( I think that they should ) or whether they should be adjacent to the propshaft tunnel ? I know it makes no difference in operation, but I am a stickler for originality. 2. Electrics...........Those of you with EXU's , can you please tell me of the correct routing of the four horn wires . These wires split off from the main harness under the bulkhead and make their way to the battery box mounted horns. They will not fit through the hole immediately under the control box as this is taken up with the multiplicity of wires to the control box. Please advise as to which aperture through which they make their escape I think that I may have welded up one too many extra holes that the bulkhead was festooned with ! Well folks , just to let you know that our TC EXU has at last seen daylight after her long term restoration and she is particularly excited in that she passed the Ministry of Transport (MOT ) test this morning and is now road legal .We have planned to go on the 'T' register Autumn Tour in September so I need to get as many miles on her to shake her down . Thanks again to many of you who helped me to sort out a few problems / queries during her rebuild. Must dash now as she is calling me to take for a spin !
