TC wiper

Post by Walter privat » Mon Jan 22, 2001 12:19 pm

hi dave, my TC wiper is called "rain-X" i only use that -- really great! and no further use of the decorating wiper! regards walter Message: 6 Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2001 10:48:31 -0000 From: "DAVID RICHMOND" DAVELIZ@mgoctorig.freeserve.co.uk> Subject: Black wrinkle finish paint. I have a fairly simple question for the group. I am in the process of overhauling the wiper motor on my TC ready for the coming summer (this is England) I am having a problem finding a supplier of a paint that accurately reproduces the original black wrinkle finish. A product called "Sperex" that I have used in the past to re-finish MGB dashboards with great results is no longer available, and the alternative made by Hycote ? does not produce the desired result. Any help would be appreciated. Dave Richmond TC 261 Ps. We shall be at Stoneleigh on the 18th Feb stand No. 467-468 all welcome, or visit our website at daveliz@mgoctorig.freeserve.co.uk/mgpage

What the hell is "rain X"? The best wiper substitute is a sliced raw potato rubbed over the windscreen. I always carry a potato in my tool kit along with the rock. In an emergency, you can smash up the potato with the rock, cook it, and have it for lunch! Try doing THAT with "rain X". Badger
