torque

Hi, my manual quotes 600 in-lbs or 50 ft-lbs. There is no mention about re-torquing when hot and I have never done this on numerous successful head replacements. Regards, Hugh Pite

Joe: Both cold and hot are the same. forty two lbs. I have always used this number (40 years). Works well. I suggest that you give both sides of the gasket a couple of coats of silver or aluminum spray enamel. Never a leak!! Skip Kelsey....................................
