torque
I am installing my head on the XPAG after valve work. I have the sequence
for the head nut tightening but cant find the numbers. Can someone tell me
initial (cold) torque and then the hot retorque.

Re: torque
Hi, my manual quotes 600 in-lbs or 50 ft-lbs. There is no mention about re-torquing when hot and I have never done this on numerous successful head replacements. Regards, Hugh Pite

Re: torque
Joe:
Both cold and hot are the same. forty two lbs. I have always used this
number (40 years). Works well. I suggest that you give both sides of the
gasket a couple of coats of silver or aluminum spray enamel. Never a leak!!
