Attachments : Welcome to our 1214th member Smith, Lynwood -- Lynwood_Smith@alnd.uscourts.gov -Huntsville, Alabama, USA 1948 TC 5382 XPAG 7015 who, in response to my request for information, wrote: I have a 1948 MG-TC with chassis number TC5382 (early April 1948 build date), and Engine number XPAG 7015. My New England MG 'T' Register number is 12757. I could forward you a photograph of the car from my Iphone, but it presently is sitting on four car jacks in the garage of our home, with the hood ("bonnet") and radiator removed in preparation for the installation of a Moss Motors Supercharger.
With regard to your request for biographical information, I am a United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama, with home, chambers, and primary courtroom all located in Huntsville, Alabama. I have wanted to acquire an MG-TC for more years than I care to count, but my present ownership of this car probably only serves to prove the truth of two old adages: "The older the boy, the more expensive the toy"; and, "A fool and his money are soon parted."

Re: Update from Jim
I don't think so, since last time I heard, speeding wasn't a Federal offense. Nice to have the Judge as our newest member, though.

Re: Update from Jim
I don't think speeding in a TC will be enough for you to be invited to visit the Judge in the US District Court.
I had better watch it though. I'm planning on visiting the Mog South meet there this fall. In my Morgan though.

Update from Jim
Forwarding this email from Ken Porter - one of the earliest members
I sold my TC. I haven't driven for the past two years due to a
hereditary health problem, so it was time to pass the car on to someone
who would both enjoy and take care of it. The car is going to a couple that are long time MG enthusiasts. They know about the TABC group and I am sure they will join. Apropos to the recent discussion of what a TC is worth, I got
$28,000.

Dear Jim, I have sold MGTC 9373. I have passed details of the group to the new owner but he does not own a computer. Thank you for years of entertainment and information. Please remove me from the list.
