I have a 1946 TC that is my dads. He restored the TC during 1968 and
finished it in 1969. In 1969 we drove it from Orlando to Waterville Valley in New
Hampshire. It is very original and I remember when it was brought home that it
was the original black. I'll send you the chassis number and the engine
number within a day or so. But I know that it was built in December of 1945 and
has a low serial number.
We have some other cars, what has come and gone was a 52 TD, a 54 TF, a pair
of 54 TF's that were never restored, a couple TR3's but never got them
running. We've had a couple of MGA's and a B or two,
Presently we have a 1949 Riley RMB, and a 64 MGB and the TC. These are all
cars that my dad has restored.
I have started out on my own thing and got a 1971 Porsche 911 Targa, that I
have been restoring for the last 7 years! I can't believe how my dad was able
to do so many cars and make them turn out as nice as they've had.
But he is getting up there and has not been able to do any more work on the
cars, so I take care of them by doing the maintenance and so forth. I have
been doing the brakes mostly and the occasional tune up.
The traffic has gotten so worse these last few years and the country roads
are disappearing mostly by more and more side streets being added, that the new
enjoyment is by working on these cars in the safety of the garage. But I
still take them out for a spirited run or two.
I didn't mean to go on and on, it was a good time to though to give you a
little background, because I like these MG's and the Riley a lot.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to contributing as much as gaining
more knowledge about the early T types.

Is Steve Berger's grab handle the curved one that has been mentioned recently that fits to the existing dash holes?
