starters.
There is an early td or y Xpag engine minus a few parts, tc g/box ,f &R
axles , steering box, 4 good original wheels running boards , petrol tank and
other parts that I would like to exchange for a douglas m/cycle MK
possibly that I can use or failing that sell as a lot.
there is also a ta bellhousing, needing repair c/w a mowog box which seems
to have the same ratios as a ta (no remote) for whatever is a reasonable
price
I also have a largish collection of Octagon bulletins and safety fast, a
box full of parts manuals for 70s and 80s british cars (rover, triumph,
jaguar etc ex main dealers in poor condition but useful and dirt cheap )
and several 50s and 60s jaguar manuals /parts books which are not.
I also have a supercharger primer pump with octagonal brown knob that came
with a box of bits for my K1 tourer many years ago which I suppose ought
to be on a mmm model. I dont really want to spend my time selling them on
ebay or piece meal

Re: (unknown)
There was a TC from Switzerland for sale at a classic car dealer here in
KC in the 90s when I was working on restoring my basket case '46 TC. I
remember the semaphore signals on it. It was an unrestored original car
with very low mileage. It was there for quite a while and I took a lot
of pictures of it to assist in restoring my car. Also the grille slats
were replaced with a mesh grille supposedly to assist cooling while
driving in the Alps. I still have the 35mm photos somewhere.

The official importer of MGs to Switzerland, J.H Keller, Zurich, (named Sportcar Ltd. in those days) fitted these locally to all cars delivered about from mid-48, when sales of the TC started to decline. Made out of stamped aluminum with a chamfered edge around the circumference they had to fulfill purely aesthetical aspects. Large brake drums then meant lots of power.

Re: (unknown)
I agree, Doug is a diehard enthusiast and an asset to our community. I've purchased many bits from him because they were the best available anywhere.
However I don't necessarily agree about Moss employees. If you've ever been there then you would notice all the British iron parked outside, driven to work by their crew. Like any thriving business they can't fill every spot with a seasoned British car enthusiast, so some employees may be new or temporary. But I've never encountered any who were not helpful or enthusiastic about their jobs.
I do see where you're coming from though, Bud. It's nice to know the guy on the other end of the phone knows what he's talking about every time you call. Now get off the computer and go enjoy the GoF West banquet!
Safe travels home tomorrow!
