This TC was originally bought in Argentina at some prior time, and was
imported into California sometime in the late '60s, and then sold to the current
owner in the late '70s.
A rather extensive degree of restoration was discovered when I examined
the car more closely this last week, and includes the following items:
1. carpets and upholstery appear in excellent condition, even given the
20-odd years of storage.
2. a careful application of chrome plating of various items under the
hood, and polishing of aluminum pieces.
3. Some sort of non-paint coating on the brake drums, wheel rims, and
spokes.
4. Evidence that the chassis has been carefully prepped and painted
extensively. It may have either been a frame-off job, or painted in situ.
5. No visible body rust, minor corrosion of some of the plated parts.
6. Braided, AN hoses and fittings used for the oil lines at the oil pump.
I have a distinct feeling that T-ABC will be a valuable resource in
dealing with the issue of a 20-odd year storage car of this caliber (calibre), and
its resurrection.

I have an MGA, several MKI MGB's and belong to the respective registers. I am
looking to get a T next.
Currently two members of the local club let help work on their TC's. One of
them is in his 80's. But, he still drives it and flies his own plane.
Recently I purchased four books on the T's and sent my check into the
NE T Register for the initial subscription to the CD-RM on the SOM technical
articles.
Would appreciate receiving the digest to sharpen my technical knowledge on
these older cars as they seem to be the next MG frontier for me.
